Apple Pie recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-pourpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 water
- 1/2 sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 2 tbs corn flour ( corn starch)
- 4 - 5 peeled, cored and thinly sliced apples
Method
- Mix flour, baking powder and sugar together. Add egg yolk, oil and water. Knead until dough forms and smooth.
- Place in fridge for 30 minutes.
- Place apples in a large bowl and stir with sugar, lemon, cinnamon and corn starch.
- Roll out dough to fit pie dish and put in. Fill it with the filling and put the top dough over it.
- Slit the top of the pie like a cross and bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool for ten minutes and serve. Can be served with some vanilla ice-cream / custard.
