Leia's Baking Corner- banana cake

Hey everyone,
Here is my first video tutorial. Hope you like it.
 Banana Cake recipe  

125g unsalted butter, softened
• 140g (3/4 cups) soft brown sugar
• 2 eggs, lighty beaten
• 2 tablespoons honey/ cinnamon honey
• 1 large ripe banana (170g) mashed
• 250g plain flour, sifted
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon

 1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F/ gas 4). Grease a 22 x 12 cm loaf tin. Mix butter for 1 or until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and process until combined.

2. Put the 2 teaspoons of honey in a saucepan over low heat and warm for 1 minute or until runny. Add to your mixture. Place your mashed banana onto the bowl and combine. Add cinnamon and flour until well mixed.

 3. Spoon or spread evenly onto the loaf tin and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the cake. Leave for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack. Serve with honey or plain.

 Serves 8

 Note: Alternatively, warm honey in the microwave on Medium High (70%) for 30 second(½ up) chopped walnuts or pecans spooning the mixture into the loaf tin.

Welcome To My New Blog!

Hey everyone,

Welcome to Leia's Baking Corner! Here you can get delicious sweet treat bakes and desserts for all occasions. There will also be videos posted regularly of some awesome recipes for you all to see and many other recipes that you'll want to just make in a flash. This is a great way for me to show what I can do in the sweet side of the kitchen. 

Taking into account that I am only 14 years of age. Yes, if you haven't already guested, my name is Leia. I hope that my baking skills will help and teach you all to create something scrumptious and delightful to eat. Everyone should experience the wonderful creations that can be made even if you think you are too young or too old for this type of cooking. I know by reading and watching these things, you too can have a delicious sweet treat bake, dessert or maybe even a savoury sensation in an instant. 

All you need to do is watch out for my on coming posts and start pre-heating your ovens!!
